The Temple, restored in Jerusalem, is a place of mercy, comfort and peace.

Christ, by his spirit, makes us a new creation.  It is God’s grace, not the Law, which saves us.

When Jesus asked the disciples what identity people attributed to him, Peter answered on behalf of the Church that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

2 Samuel 12: 7-10. 13
King David, greatly blessed by God, learns through repentance that he cannot simply take all he desires.  In his sorrow he learns about God’s justice – but also of God’s great love and forgiveness.

Galatians 2: 16. 19-21
For Paul, the great revelation in Christ is that we don’t learn to be God-like through obeying rules, but rather through a thankful and humble loving relationship with Christ, crucified and risen.
