During the feast of the Passover, Jesus blesses bread, gives it to his disciples and tells them to take and eat it as his body.  He then blesses wine and tells his disciples to drink it as his blood, the blood of the new covenant between the Lord and his people. 

Deuteronomy 4A 32-34. 39-40
God created and loves us.  God gives generously and freely.  There is one true God, majestic and living. 

Romans 8: 14-17
God’s spirit is present within us and we are all God’s children.  There is no need to be afraid since God is our Father. 

Matthew 28: 16-20
Jesus sends out the disciples on their mission to all peoples, and gives us the confidence to know that he is with us always.

In his letter to the Church in Corinth, Paul acknowledges the diversity of each person’s gifts, but says we are united in the one Spirit.

Soon after the resurrection, Jesus appears to the disciples.  He offers the greeting ‘Peace be with you’, and breathes the Holy Spirit upon them.
