Cornelius is the first non-Jew to receive the Holy Spirit, who has no favourites.All races are acceptable to God. 

1 John 4: 7-10
Love comes from God who is love. Everyone who loves is born of God.

We are to remain in the love of Christ so that we can bear fruit that will last. 

Act 9: 26-31
Saul’s visit to Jerusalem finds the disciples wary of him, but Barnabas tells them about his conversion.  When he gets into an argument with some Hellenist Jews he is forced to flee to Tarsus. 

1 John 3: 18-24
John describes the Christian life as filled with love that is real and active, not mere talk.  He talks about keeping God’s commandments, and affirms that whatever we ask of God we shall receive because we keep God’s commandments. 

John 15: 1-8
Jesus declares that he is the true vine and his Father the vinedresser.  Every branch that bears no fruit is cut away. 

Act 4: 8-12
Arrested for an act of kindness, Peter joyfully proclaims the risen Lord. 

1 John 3: 1-2
John reflects on our present blessings and looks forward to eternal joys. 

John 10: 11-18
Jesus, the good shepherd, willingly gives his life for the unity of us all. 

Act 3:13-15. 17-19
Peter gives witness to the people, telling them that they have killed the prince of life but that they can repent and then their sins will be wiped out. 

1 John 2: 1-5
John writes to keep his readers from sinning, because keeping God’s commandments is the only way to be sure we know God. 

Luke 24: 35-48
Jesus appears to his disciples.  They think they have seen a ghost.  He eats and shows his wounds.  He tells them how his resurrection is the fulfilment of the Prophets and Psalms. 

Act 4: 32-35
One of the signs of the unity that Christ’s resurrection brings to his Church is the way the early Christians shared their goods in common.

1 John 5: 1-6
The way we can show that we have conquered the hatred of the world is by loving one another and loving God through keeping God’s commandments.

John 20: 19-31
On Easter Day the fearful disciples come to faith in the presence of the risen Jesus who brings them peace and joy and the Spirit.  Later, doubting Thomas is challenged to come to the same faith.
