ADVENT PRAYER
Dear Lord, Strengthen my faith
Give me hope that all things will turn out right;
the way you intend it to be and while I am doing my best to be
strong, optimistic and true to your teaching surround me with love.
Amen

ST PAUL’S CHURCH, WOODLAND ROAD. Nine Lessons and Carols:

ADVENT PRAYER

Lord, make me a better person, more considerate towards others, more honest with myself, more faithful to you. Make me generous enough to want to sincerely do your will whatever it may be. To find my true calling in life and grant through it I may find happiness myself and bring happiness to others.

Help me to be the person you intended me to be. Help me to do what is right and do the greater good for those around me. Help me to cope better when things don’t go the way I may have liked them to. Help me to take better care of myself so I can be a rock for any family to lean on.

COFFEE MORNING & SALE:
On Wednesday 7th December at 12, Betsyle Road from 10 am until 12 noon. Proceeds to North London Hospice – All welcome.

PRAYER OF ST FRANCIS
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow peace; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, let me sow faith; where there is despair, let me give hope; where there is darkness, let me give light; where there is sadness, let me give joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not seek to be comforted, but to comfort; to be understood, but to understand; to be loved, but to love.  For it is in giving that we receive, it is in forgiving that we are forgiven. And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
