WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:
This Sunday the Holy Father invites all Catholics to contribute to a special collection for Missio, his official charity for overseas mission. World Mission Sunday is a special day that unites Catholics all over the world in prayer, celebration and care for the mission of the Church.  There will be a collection after all Masses today and envelopes can be found at the back of the Church for your donations.  Please Gift Aid your donation if you are a tax payer – thank you.

You are invited to attend an informal information session to learn about the Dementia Friends Initiative and how we can create dementia friendly communities, in the Parish Hall on either: Saturday 1st, or  8th November at 4.30 pm, or Friday 7th, or Tuesday 11th, at 7.30 pm.  Each session will last an hour – you only have to attend once!  Please register your intention to attend on the Dementia Friends Website, www.dementiafriends.org.uk, or leave your name with the Parish Office.

INTERFAITH COMMUNITY DAY:
Saturday 25th October 10 am – 4 pm.  Fun, Food and Faith at Trinity-at-Bowes Methodist Church, Palmerston Road, N22.  This is an interfaith event that brings local faiths and communities together.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS & READERS:
Sunday 29th November, from 1.30 to 5.30 pm.  A quiet afternoon, in the Hall, for Eucharistic Ministers and Readers to talk and reflect on their ministries.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2015:
Our FHC programme begins on Tuesday 7th October with all the parents meeting in the Hall at 8 pm.  The children will start on Saturday 11th at 10 am, also in the Hall, and on Sunday the families will attend the 11.15 am Mass.

THE FITZGERALD FAMILY:
Would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their kindness, prayers and support following the death of Margaret.  A Mass will be offered for your intentions.

PLANNED GIVING SCHEME:
It would be a great help to the parish if you are able to donate your offerings each week through the Planned Giving envelope scheme or by standing order.  If you are also able to ‘Gift Aid’ your donation, as a taxpayer, the parish would receive a further 25% of your donation in tax relief from HMRC, without any cost to yourself.  Application forms are in the porch at the back of the church. CLEANING THE CHURCH:
We are looking for people who can spare 10 – 15 minutes after the 10 am Mass on Mondays to help clean the vessels, altar cloths and candles in the Sacristy.  Also, the altar cloths need to be washed each week – would you be able to join our rota to take them home to wash and iron?  The more people on the rota, the less often you will need to do this.

August 25th is a Bank Holiday and there will be Mass at 10 am only, after which the church will be closed for the day.

The Annual Pilgrimage in honour of Blessed Cyprian Iwene Tansi will take place on Saturday, 30th August, at Mount St Bernard Abbey, Whitwick, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 5UL, starting at 11 am with Holy Mass, followed by a Rosary Procession and Blessing of the Sick.  For further information/bookings, please contact Bernadette on 07813 367787.
