PRIEST TRAINING FUND COLLECTION:
A very big thank you for your generosity last weekend.  A total of £2,450  was collected.  Donations can still be posted through the Presbytery letter box using the Gift Aid envelope or you can donate online at www.rcdow.org.uk/donations.

FINCHLEY CATHOLIC SCHOOL SIXTH FORM CENTRE:
The concert in aid of the Finchley Catholic High School Sixth Form Centre takes place this Saturday, May 24th at 8 pm in the church.  Cheese and wine in the hall will follow.  Tickets available after all Masses and on the door: £10 or concessions £7.

ST JOSEPH’S PASTORAL CENTRE SPONSORED WALK:
Join us for a Sponsored Walk in Arnos Park today Sunday 18th May.  We meet at 2 pm in the Parish Hall.  £5 to take part if not sponsored.

CONFIRMATION PHOTOGRAPHS:
Will be ready for collection on Sunday 1st June from 10 am – 1 pm in the Parish Hall.

This takes place this weekend.  All the money you give will be used to encourage more men to consider the priesthood and to pay for the training of those who come forward. MARY’S MEALS:
Mary’s Meals will be here on 17th/18th May to take away your unwanted textiles, ie. clothes, bags, blankets, towels, curtains, shoes and books.  Please bring them to church in black refuse sacks. Mary’s meals feeds children one good meal every day at schools in over 16 countries.

CONFIRMATION 2014:
This year’s Confirmation ceremony will take place on Friday 9th May at 7.30 pm.  The rehearsal is on Wednesday, May 7th, starting with Reconciliation at 6.15 pm. All candidates and their sponsors should attend.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
Two groups of children will be receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on Saturday 10th May at 11.30 am & 2.30 pm.  Their rehearsal is on Tuesday 6th May

Please note that there will not be a 10 am Mass that day.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY:
Next Monday is a bank holiday and there will be one mass at 10 am, after which the church will be closed for the day.

CONFIRMATION COURSE:
The final Session before Confirmation is on Wednesday 30th April in the Parish Hall at 7 pm.  The rehearsal takes place the following Wednesday, May 7th, starting with Reconciliation at 6.15 pm. All candidates and their sponsors should attend.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION COURSE:
The final session for parents in on Tuesday 29th April at 8 pm.  Rehearsal for the children is on Saturday 3rd May at 10 am.  Please meet in the Parish Hall.

MASSES AT OUR LADY OF LOURDES:
Please note that all Masses to be celebrated here are fully booked until at least the end of May.  If you require a specific date you are advised to visit the Office at least 5 months before that date.  Masses can be sent to the Missions, where they will be celebrated on a regular basis, but we can not offer a date for these. Please enquire at the Parish Office for more information about booking a Mass.

PALM SUNDAY:
Next Sunday Palms will be blessed and distributed at all Masses.  The will be a solemn procession at the 9.45 am Mass starting in the Patio at the back of the Hall entrance.

CHURCHES TOGETHER “STATIONS OF THE CROSS”:

This will take place on Saturday 5th April, beginning with the First Station at Christ Church, Whetstone URC, at 11 am, then along the High Road to the final station at St John’s, Whetstone at approximately 12 noon.  All are welcome.

LENTEN ALMS:
Each Lent the Diocesan collection is sent to two charities, at home and abroad.  This year the beneficiaries are “Aid to the Church in Need”, who are currently working with the people of Syria, and “The Bakhita Fund in association with Caritas Westminster”, who are working with victims of human trafficking and modern slavery in London. Please use the internet to find out more about either of these charities.  Your Alms can be placed in the Box in the church porch.
