CONFIRMATION 2010:
Candidates meeting on Wednesday 27th January at 7 pm in the Parish Hall.
VALENTINE’S DAY LUNCH:
Sunday 14th February at 1.15pm. Three course lunch and wine, at £14 per head. Tickets on sale today. All proceeds towards the Sanctuary flooring.

FAIR TRADE SAVINGS PASSED ON
When big supermarkets have Fair Trade food as loss leaders the parish Fair Trade stall stocks up so we still make a profit for Cafod and pass on half the savings to you as you will see in the hall today.

At Manor Drive Methodist church, 4 pm this evening, 17th January. A warm welcome awaits everyone.

If you can donate any gifts, books, toys, DVDs and CDs etc or raffle prizes I will be most grateful. Cakes on the day will be a big help.Items can be bought to the office during Opening Hours. MASS TIMES:
Please note Mass times are back to normal next week with 8 am Masses on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
FAIR TRADE STALL:

ADVENT TALKS:
The last talk is on 15th December at 7.30 pm and covers “The Birth of Jesus in St Matthew’s Gospel” presented by Fr Kevin. All are welcome.
CRISIS AT CHRISTMAS:
The Brownies say a big thank to you to everyone for the toothbrushes and socks that were donated last Sunday. You are all very generous!
MENCAP COFFEE MORNING:
Many thanks to all who generously supported this event – a total of £412.30 will be sent to Barnet Mencap. A list of raffle prizes is on the notice board – please claim from the Office. NB. There are also two prizes from the Sick and Retired Priest’s raffle, which raised £220, to be claimed from the office. Results are on the Hall notice board. Thanks to you all!

ADVENT TALKS:
The second Advent talk on Tuesday 8th December at 7.30pm is “The Birth of Jesus in St Luke’s Gospel” by Fr. Tom. This and the other talks will be a good spiritual preparation for Christmas and will help us to deepen our understanding of our Saviour’s birth.
RCIA:
The ‘Rite of Welcome’ for the members of the RCIA Group who are thinking about joining the Catholic Church will be on Sunday 13th December at the 9.45am Mass.
PRAYING FOR THE SICK:
Prayers are offered for all the sick at every Mass on Sunday. Unless we are asked to do otherwise, names of sick people are mentioned for four weeks and then transferred to the Newsletter for four weeks. All previous prayer intentions are on the website.

ADVENT TALKS:
A preparation for Christmas at 8pm in the Upper Meeting Room.
1. Tuesday 1st December - Preparing for the birth of Jesus in St Luke’s Gospel – Deacon Vincent.
2. Tuesday 8th December – The birth of Jesus in St Luke’s Gospel – Fr Tom.
3. Tuesday 15th December – The birth of Jesus in St Matthews’s Gospel – Fr Kevin.
These talks will be a good spiritual preparation for Christmas and will help us to deepen our understanding of our Saviour’s birth.
EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
This afternoon and every Sunday during Advent from after the 12.30pm Mass until Benediction at 5.30pm.Please sign the lists in the Porch. If all spaces are not filled Exposition cannot take place.
