PARISH OFFICE OPENING TIMES OVER CHRISTMAS:
The Office will be open on the following days:  Monday to Wednesday of this coming week, and Monday Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of the following week.  Please remember that we do not open on Mondays until 10.30 am. 

FESTIVAL OF NINE LESSONS AND CAROLS, ST PAUL’S WOODLAND WAY:
Our Ecumenical Carol Service with St Paul’s takes place this evening, Sunday 21st December,  at 6.30 pm.  Our choir and readers will be taking part and you are all invited to join them.

ADVENT PENITENTIAL SERVICES:
Will take place on Monday 22nd December at 2.30 pm & 7.30 pm.

TINS FOR THE HOMELESS:
Will be collected during Advent.  Please leave them in the box under the Offertory table – thank you.

11.30 pm: Readings and carols

Christmas Day: 8.30 am; 9.45 am; 11.15 am; 12.30pm         

THERE IS NO 6.30 pm MASS ON CHRISTMAS DAY

CRIB:
The Knights of St Columba will be putting up the Christmas Tree and Crib on Tuesday 16th December at 8 pm.  We need some strong volunteers  to help construct the Crib.  Please be in the church ready to start at 8 pm.  Thank you. 

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
On Sunday afternoon between 1.15 pm and 5.30 pm, ending with Benediction.  You are all welcome to spend half an hour or so with the Blessed Sacrament during the afternoon.

ADVENT TALKS:
The Advent talks on St Paul continue on Wednesday, 17th  December, at 7.30 pm in the Parish Hall.   This week the topic is Paul’s second missionary journey.

PARISH HELPERS PARTY INVITATION:
All those who contribute to the smooth running of our Parish in any way are invited by Fr. Tom and Fr. Damian to a “Thank You” Christmas Party on Sat Dec 13th from 7.30 pm. No matter what you do you are welcome, and as there are so many who help we can’t give individual invitations.  Please bring your partner or a friend if you would like.

Saturday 6th December at 2.30pm. All are most welcome. Please note there will be NO 10am Mass that day.

PRIMARY SCHOOL PRIEST’S SIGNINGS:
Please sign up on the sheets in the Paper Shop for an appointment to have your Primary School form signed by one of the priests.  The dates are Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th November from 6.30 pm – 8 pm.  Please also hand in (or post through the letter box) your completed self-assessment form by TODAY.  Thank you.

Congratulations to John Hardy who won 1st Prize and £256-20 in the Autumn £1 a month draw, Brian Adams who won 2nd prize and £73-20 and Margaret Mannion, a new member, who won 3rd Prize and £36-60. Chances of winning in the draw are far better than the National Lottery so why not become a member! Applications can be found in the Paper Shop. 

CATECHISTS FOR CONFIRMATION:
We are looking for volunteers to help with the Confirmation course next year.  It meets on Wednesday evenings between 7 – 8 pm for about 12 weeks between January and April.  If you want to know more, please leave your name and number with the Office.  Thank you. 

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING:
The next meeting is on Monday November 17th at 8.15 pm in the Small Hall.  Please let the office know if you have not yet received the minutes of the last meeting. 

COFFEE MORNING AND SALE FOR BARNET MENCAP:
On Wednesday November 12th from 10 am – midday in the Parish Hall.  Please come along for a bargain and help to support this worthwhile charity.

TOM CRIBBINS RIP:
Pauline, Natasha and Thomas Cribbins would like to thank Fr. Tom and Fr. McDade for their support at their recent sad loss of Tom, and also for the meaningful and comforting Mass.  Thanks also to everyone for their very kind words, cards, prayers and messages of sympathy.  A Mass will be said for all your intentions.

FOUR SEASONS DRAW:
The Autumn draw will be on Sunday 9th November after the 9.45am Mass in the Parish Hall.  All subs need to be in by Saturday 8th November.  New members can join by completing an application form from the Paper Shop. 

MAGNIFICAT:
There are free copies of the Magnificat at the back of the Church.This 400 page book for daily prayer throughout November includes daily Mass readings, as well as saints’ biographies and spiritual readings for each day. 

APF – WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:
Thank you for your generosity last weekend.  A total of £1,505 has been sent to the Missions. 

SUNDAY MORNING REFRESHMENT VOLUNTEERS:
New rotas are available in the Paper shop for collection – thank you.

FR DAMIAN WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU all very much for your very kind words, cards, prayers and offers of sympathy at this time, following the death of his father.  He will offer Mass for you all in Lourdes next week. 

SECONDARY SCHOOL TRANSFER SIGNINGS:
The Priests will be available to sign transfer to secondary school forms on Monday 20th October 6.30pm – 8pm or Tuesday 21st October  6.30pm – 7.30pm. Please sign up today for an appointment on the lists in the Parish Centre.  Priest’s self assessment forms should have already been handed in. Please do not bring it with you on the evening. 

APF – WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:
Today we join other Catholic communities in a global effort to bring spiritual and material help to those who work for, and are helped by, missionaries across the world.  Please give generously to the second collection after all Masses.

CAFOD HARVEST FAMILY FAST DAY:
Thank you all very much for your kind donations last weekend, which Cafod will put to very good use.  We raised £1,764.  Many thanks to those who completed the Gift Aid form.
