There will be a Dinner in the Parish Hall for all those who will be alone over  Christmas.  If you will be alone or know of someone who is alone please write your name on the list in the Porch to give an indication for catering or phone Mavis on 8367-6016.

ALTAR SERVERS:
If you will be around at Christmas, there are lists in the Sacristy where you can indicate when you are available to serve – Thank you. Please also collect your new rotas – they are in the sacristy and will not be sent by post this time. 

JANUARY SALE:
Just a short note to say that the January Sale will take place in the Parish Hall on 23rd/24th January.  We will be most grateful for any saleable items.  More news in the New Year. Thank you – Janet Butterworth

The Brownies say a big thank to you to everyone for the toothbrushes and socks that were donated last Sunday.  You are all very generous! 

MENCAP COFFEE MORNING:
Many thanks to all who generously supported this event – a total of £412.30 will be sent to Barnet Mencap.  A list of raffle prizes is on the notice board – please claim from the Office.  NB.  There are also two prizes from the Sick and Retired Priest’s raffle,  which raised £220, to be claimed from the office.  Results are on the Hall notice board.  Thanks to you all!

The second Advent talk on Tuesday 8th December at 7.30pm is “The Birth of Jesus in St Luke’s Gospel” by Fr. Tom.  This and the other talks will be a good spiritual preparation for Christmas and will help us to deepen our understanding of our Saviour’s birth. 

RCIA:
The ‘Rite of Welcome’ for the members of the RCIA Group who are thinking about joining the Catholic Church will be on Sunday 13th December at the 9.45am Mass. 

PRAYING FOR THE SICK:
Prayers are offered for all the sick at every Mass on Sunday.  Unless we are asked to do otherwise, names of sick people are mentioned for four weeks and then transferred to the Newsletter for four weeks.  All previous prayer intentions are on the website.

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
This afternoon and every Sunday during Advent from after the 12.30pm Mass until Benediction at 5.30pm.Please sign the lists in the Porch.  If all spaces are not filled Exposition cannot take place.

ALL SOULS:
Mass will be at 8 am, 10 am and 7.30 pm on Monday 2nd November.  The 7.30pm Mass will be offered for the deceased of the Parish and there will be an opportunity to light a candle for your dead relatives and friends.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
Parents: Tuesday 3rd November 8 pm.
Children: Sat. 7th November 10 am.
All families: Mass at 11.15 am on Sunday 8th.
Children at non-Catholic schools should also attend on Saturday and Sunday.

BERNADETTE CLUB:
The Club meets on Friday 6th November at 2 pm in the Parish Hall.  New members are always welcome!

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
Parents meeting is on Tuesday 3rd November at 8pm.  All parents of children who hope to receive Holy Communion in May 2010 should attend.  Saturday 7th November classes for children who hope to receive Communion for the first time in May 2010 and for children who attend non-Catholic Schools.  The next Mass specially for parents and children is at 11.15am on Sunday 8th November. 

FOUR SEASONS DRAW:
The Autumn Draw will take place on Sunday 8th November in the Parish Hall after the 9.45am Mass.  Please pay your subscriptions before Saturday 7th. New members are always welcome, there are application forms in the Paper Shop.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:
Today we have the opportunity to actively support the mission outreach of the Church.  The Church across the world, especially where it is young and poor, depends on our spiritual and material offerings. This is a yearly collection for the Missions.  Please give what you can, and if possible, use the Gift Aid envelopes (at the back of the church).  Many thanks.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:
Next Sunday, Catholics everywhere unite in celebrating World Mission Sunday. Our prayers and donations help support mission projects and Catholic Communities across the world to grow towards self-sufficiency. The Holy Father invites every Catholic to contribute to a special collection next Sunday after all Masses.  Please Gift Aid your donation by using the envelopes found in the Church Porch – thank you. 

PARISH LUNCH:
A Very Big Thank You to all those who supported the Parish Lunch last Sunday. A total of £750 was raised towards the Sanctuary Flooring.
