CAFOD HARVEST FAMILY FAST DAY
There will be a collection after all Masses this weekend for CAFOD. 

COFFEE MORNING:
A Big Thank You to everyone who contributed or helped in anyway to make the ‘Big Stir’ Coffee Morning such a success.  A total of £694.40 has been sent to Macmillan Cancer Support. 

SATURDAY CATECHISM CLASSES:
There is a meeting in the Small Hall on Monday 6th October at 7.45 pm for the parents of children at non-Catholic schools who wish to be prepared for First Holy Communion.  The child must be at least 6 years old as of 31st August 2008. 

OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL:
Has a vacancy for a part-time Play Leader 7½ hours per week  from November. Please contact the school on 0208 361 0767.

FAIR TRADE STALL:
The Fair Trade Stall today in the Hall has many items for those who appreciate ethical quaility gifts.  It also has all the regular items you stock up on each month. 

DEREK FLANAGAN RIP
The Funeral of Derek Flanagan will take place on Tuesday 30th September at 10am.  The family have requested no flowers, but a collection will be made on the day for Macmillan Cancer Support and the North London Hospice.

Please join us for the world’s biggest coffee morning as part of the Huge Stir for MacMillan Cancer support on Saturday 27th September between 10 am – 12 noon in the Parish Hall.  Home made cakes welcome, please see the poster for more details. 

ENFIELD DEANERY TALKS:
At Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St George, 45 London Rd, Enfield EN2 6DS, starting this week on Wednesday 24th September at 7.30 pm. 

LATIN DANCE CLASSES:
A new session begins on Friday 3rd October at 7 pm in the Parish Hall.   All welcome, no partner required!

CAKE SALE:
An enormous Thank You for your fantastic generosity last Sunday at the Cake Sale which raised £650 for Children with Visual Impairment, plus a very special thank you to all those who donated cakes.  Please see the notice board, or the website, for unclaimed raffle prizes

ENFIELD DEANERY TALKS:

FR NICHOLAS KING SJ will be talking on " St Paul's Vision" at St Mary's RC Church Hall on Thursday 25th September 7.30 pm (279 High Road East Finchley, N2). Should be very inspiring as he has recently published a new translation of the New Testament.

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING:
This Monday, September 8th, at 8.15 pm in the Small Hall.  If you haven’t received your minutes of the last meeting by email, please check the yellow folder in the Paper shop.   

BERNADETTE CLUB OUTING:
Don’t forget that the coach for the outing on 2nd September will be leaving the church car park at 12 noon sharp! Please don’t forget to bring a packed lunch. Our next meeting is on Friday 5th September at 2 pm in the Hall as usual.

Please bring your jars of spare pennies for Pax Christi next Sunday.  You are asked to leave them in the PAX basket, which you will find on the Sanctuary, and not unattended in the body of the church.  Many thanks. 

PARISH OFFICE:
Next week the Office will be closed every day except Friday, when it will be open from 9 am – 1 pm.  Visitors are reminded that entry to the Office is through the Hall door – you are asked to use the intercom even if the Hall door is open.  Many thanks.

The painting is coming along very well and we hope the Hall will be back in action very soon.

FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION:
This is on Friday, August 15th, and is a Holy Day of Obligation.  Mass times are at 8 am, 10 am and 7.30 pm. 

PARISH HALL:
This is now being painted and is closed to ALL USERS until further notice.  The painters expect to take at least three weeks.

The painting has now been completed and our new benches will be arriving shortly.  The decorators have now moved on to the Parish Hall which will be out of use until September.

Seamus’ body will be brought into church on Wednesday 30th July at 7 pm,  and the Requiem will follow at 10 am on 31st July.  

FRANK NOLAN RIP:
Frank’s body will be brought into church on Thursday 31st July at 7 pm, and the Requiem will take place on Friday 1st August at 10 am.
