THE FEAST OF THE ASCENSION will be celebrated next Sunday, 24th May.
FAIRTRADE:
More and more fair trade is appearing in supermarkets thanks to demand created by small parish stalls like ours. A prize to everyone who spots the new food (absolutely no need to buy it) on our May Fair Trade Stall today.

SATURDAY CLUB FOR LEARNING DIFFICULTIES/SPECIAL NEEDS:
The club is meeting on Saturday 23rd May in the Parish Hall from 3pm-5pm.All welcome for an afternoon of activities. For details, please contact Libby on 07960 226421.

The Spring £1 a month draw will take place on Sunday 10th May. Subscriptions need to be in by 9th May. The draw will take place after the 9.45am Mass in the Hall. Application forms are available in the Paper Shop for new members.
FINCHLEY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL:
Kevin Hoare, the Head teacher, is retiring at the end of the summer after over thirty years service. For tickets to attend a Thanksgiving Mass on 18th June, please call Mrs Fran Kelly at the School (8445 0105).
BAPTISM COURSE:
The May course continues on Monday 11th at 7.30 pm in the Small Hall.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY:
Please note there will be one Mass only on May 4th at 10am after which the Church will be closed .
BENCHES:
Now that our new Benches are in place we would like to keep them looking nice for as long as possible.We would ask parents not to allow their children to use pens or hard toys on them as these will mark the benches. Thank you.

CARD SALE:
The Ladies from the Paper Shop will be in the Parish Hall today after the 8.30am, 9.45am and 11.15am Masses.
PARISH COUNCIL MEETING:
Monday 27th April at 8.15 pm. If you didn’t get your minutes by email, there are some in the Paper Shop.

PEGGY HARRISION RIP:
The body will be brought into church on Monday 20th April at 7 pm, and the Requiem will follow on Tuesday at 10 am.
MOTHERS AND TODDLERS:
Our twice weekly (term-time) Mothers and Toddlers meetings start again on Tuesday 21st April, but due to the funeral this particular session will finish early at 10.30 am.
THE BROWNIE SALE:

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
The last sessions of the course will be this week – parents meet on Tuesday 21st April at 8 pm and children meet on Saturday 25th April at 10 am in the Big Hall.

THE BROWNIE SALE:

PARISH OFFICE:
Will be open on Tuesday and Friday of this coming week from 9 am – 1 pm.
MASS TIMES NEXT WEEK:
There will be daily Mass from Monday to Friday at 10 am, after which the Church will be closed. Mass is also on Saturday morning at 10 am and the weekend masses are as normal.
FAIR TRADE STALL:
If you gave up chocolate for Lent and are looking for something better than ordinary Easter egg chocolate you will be happy to know that the Fair Trade stall is open next weekend with fairly traded quality chocolate.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS:
This Friday the 7.30 pm Stations will be led by Churches Together.
SERVERS FOR HOLY WEEK:

PRESENTATION TO FR DAMIAN:
A collection will be made this weekend at all Masses. Please be generous in expressing your thanks to Fr Damian for his ministry in our Parish. Fr Damian will be back to celebrate Mass at 6.30pm on Saturday 25th April followed by a reception in the Hall.
ROUGH GUIDE TO CAFOD:

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
There are some gaps in the rota for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on the next couple of Sundays. Please sign the rota in the porch to fill these gaps. It is very important that the Blessed Sacrament is not left alone at any time.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS:
Will take place on Fridays after the 10 am Mass and at 7.30 pm. This Friday evening the Stations will be led by the Meditation Group.
BROWNIE CRAFT SALE:
The Brownies are raising money for their Centenary Charities with a Sale on Sunday 29th March after the 9.45 am and 11.15 am Masses in the Hall. Please support them.
OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL:
Their Easter Play will be on Thursday 26th March at 2pm – All welcome.

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed every Sunday during Lent after the 12.30pm Mass for prayer and adoration until 5.30pm. Please sign up on the rota in the porch so that Our Lord is never left alone.
FEAST OF ST PATRICK:
There will Masses at 8 am, 10 am and 7.30 pm on Tuesday 17th March.
CAFOD:
Thank you very much for your generosity last weekend which amounted to £1,145.

Congratulations to Chris, our excellent Scout Leader, who has just been awarded the Jack Petchey Achievement Award for “Outstanding Leader”. This award is only given to leaders and teachers who have encouraged and motivated young people in an exceptional way and brings with it £1,000 for the benefit of the troop. Well done Chris, and many thanks from a grateful Scout Group!!!
