ANNUAL MISSION APPEAL:
A very big thank you from the White Fathers for your generosity last weekend.  A total of £1,845was donated – thank you once again. 

ANNUAL PROCESSION OF OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL:

BAPTISM APPLICATIONS:
Parents who signed up for the Baptism course are reminded to attend tomorrow evening Monday 14th July at 7.30 pm in the Small Hall.

This is our Diocesan appeal for the missions, which this year is being taken by the White Fathers.  Fr. Aylward Shorter will be speaking at all Masses today.  Please be as generous as you can. The White Fathers are an international team of priests, brothers and lay associates from Africa, Britain and many other countries.  Building up small Christian communities with the help of local organizations, the White Fathers work in partnership with the Church in Africa.

OUR KNIGHTS OF ST COLUMBA GROUP
are holding a Quiz Night on Saturday 5th July from 7.30 pm.  Entrance is £10, which includes a fish and chip supper (bring your own drinks).  Offers of raffle prizes would be most welcome.  Tickets are on sale after all Masses today, and a good time is guaranteed for all!  All profits will go to homeless charities.

PARISH PILGRIMAGE:
27th October – 31st October.

Tangney Tours have advised that due to the airlines having to pay a further surcharge due to the increased cost of fuel the cost of the pilgrimage will have to be increased by 4% per pilgrim. This effectively means an increase of £18-20. They have apologised for this increase which is outside their control.There is a meeting in the Hall on Tuesday 9th September, at which all remaining balances must be paid. 

JOAN WURR RIP:
Joan’s Requiem will take place here on Thursday 26th June.

Please note there will be NO cemetery Mass in June due to work being carried out at the Cemetery.

NEW SOUTHGATE CEMETERY MASS:
Will take place by the statue of Our Lady at New Southgate Cemetery on Saturday 7th June at 11 am. Please note that there will be no 10 am Mass in the church on that day.

FAIR TRADE STALL:
Our monthly Fair Trade stall is open in the Hall after Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses, and has our biggest selection yet of food and other goods.  Popular items, eg. coffee, tea, sugar etc have been fully restocked.

Is open on Sunday 25th May in the Hall after all morning masses.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
Please remember in your prayers the second group of children who will be receiving the Sacrament of Communion for the first time next Saturday at 3pm. 

SCOUT GROUP RACE NIGHT:
The 22nd Southgate Beavers , Cubs and Scouts are holding a Race Night on Friday 16th May at 8 pm in the Parish Hall.Tickets and Horses can be purchased from the section leaders. A Family Ticket will cost £12 (2 adults and up to 2 children) or £7 (1 adult and up to 2 children). Additional tickets will cost £5 for adults and £2 for children. Horses £2.50 each. Bring your own snacks and drinks. Please support this event.
