PARISH PILGRIMAGE:
27th October – 31st October.

Tangney Tours have advised that due to the airlines having to pay a further surcharge due to the increased cost of fuel the cost of the pilgrimage will have to be increased by 4% per pilgrim. This effectively means an increase of £18-20. They have apologised for this increase which is outside their control.There is a meeting in the Hall on Tuesday 9th September, at which all remaining balances must be paid. 

JOAN WURR RIP:
Joan’s Requiem will take place here on Thursday 26th June.

PARISH AGM:

Please note there will be NO cemetery Mass in June due to work being carried out at the Cemetery.

NEW SOUTHGATE CEMETERY MASS:
Will take place by the statue of Our Lady at New Southgate Cemetery on Saturday 7th June at 11 am. Please note that there will be no 10 am Mass in the church on that day.

FAIR TRADE STALL:
Our monthly Fair Trade stall is open in the Hall after Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses, and has our biggest selection yet of food and other goods.  Popular items, eg. coffee, tea, sugar etc have been fully restocked.  

SCOUT GROUP:
A very big thank you from the Scouts for the £863 raised at the Race Night.

ST MICHAEL’S SCHOOL:
Calling all former pupils and friends of St Michael’s.  There will be a Thanksgiving for the Centenary of St Michael’s School on Sunday 28th September from 2pm onwards.  Please contact the school on 020 8446 2256 if you would like to attend.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:
Please remember in your prayers the second group of children who will be receiving the Sacrament of Communion for the first time next Saturday at 3pm. 

SCOUT GROUP RACE NIGHT:
The 22nd Southgate Beavers , Cubs and Scouts are holding a Race Night on Friday 16th May at 8 pm in the Parish Hall.Tickets and Horses can be purchased from the section leaders. A Family Ticket will cost £12 (2 adults and up to 2 children) or £7 (1 adult and up to 2 children). Additional tickets will cost £5 for adults and £2 for children. Horses £2.50 each. Bring your own snacks and drinks. Please support this event. 

PAPER SHOP VOLUNTEERS:

PENTECOST SUNDAY 11th May:
The 11.15am Mass will be an International Mass.  Please wear national costumes/colours.Volunteers are needed for reading and singers for input in their own language. 

SHORTAGE OF MASS BOOKS:
A drastic shortage of books means we are having to rely on paper copies.  Please make sure that you hand all church items back to the ushers as you leave. 

CENSUS FORMS:
Are you new to the Parish?  Please complete a form at the back of the Church.

WESTMINSTER ECCLESIASTICAL EDUCATION FUND:
The annual collection for WEEF takes place today and it is vital that we support the appeal as more men are now training for the priesthood in our seminary than at any time over the last ten years.  This is very encouraging, but it costs £50 a day to train a priest and this work depends on your donations.  Please give as much as you can.  Gift Aid forms can be found on the envelope.
